    Hi,

I’m using AAM quite a while now and it has been working fine. Now I would like to create a contributer-only user. Therefor I copied the original contributer-role. Without any modifications I noticed that the user holding this role doesn’t see the dashboard and menubar and therefor has no access to any posts and has no chance to create a new post (for review).

Only when I grant the publish_posts permission, the menubar and therefor the dashboard with the posts is being showed. But that’s not want I want. I would like to have a user having a contributer role to create a post but not being able to publish.

I can’t figure out what’s going wrong. Anyone some experienced something similar?

    Best regards,
    Peter.

    Hi,

In the meantime I suddenly realized that there is a previously used plugin “Remove Dashboard Access” which is the culprit. Working like a charm now.

    Best regards,
    Peter.
