• Hello,

Since using Gutenberg Forms we receive much more spam-emails even Google reCecaptcha v2 and Akismet is enabled.

It seems that Google reCaptcha v2 integration does not work correctly – the disclaimer usually shown by Google is not loaded and displayed.

Could you please double check the integration to make sure the forms cannot be misused?
    Thanks Roland

  • Hi @dumboxp

Have you setup your reCaptcha key properly?

I’m a new user of Gutenberg Forms and am having the same problem. I have a valid set of recaptcha keys and I briefly saw the recaptcha control while testing a page with my new form. Now recaptcha no longer appears where my form is rendered. I tried creating a new form with recaptcha enabled but it won’t display the recaptcha control either.

    The form.

    Hi @munirkamal,

Thanks for the update! The Google reCaptcha v2 tickbox is now displayed and working again in the forms!

But it is not possible to disable it! Changes in the settings of the form on the page or disabling the recaptcha-plugin does not remove the Captcha.

Could you please clarify if the plugin works with both v2-captcha types:
    a) tickbox
    b) invisible.

It seems that the tickbox version is supported only. In this case a hint in the doc or info-popup would be good to know which type needs to be configured at Google.

    thanks, Roland

@munirkamal recaptcha is appearing as expected after the update. I haven’t experimented to try to see the issue that @dumboxp has noted.

    Thank you for fixing this!

    Mike
