    Hi,
I am developing a store where I have variations of posters. Say I have 5 different posters that come in ca. 60(!) sizes. I have an attribute “poster size” with all the 60 terms (different sizes a customer can choose from). What I need is seperators between groups of sizes to sort the sizes like all 2:3 aspect ratio sizes, 4:3 sizes, square sizes, panorama sizes etc.
The dropdown would then look like this:
    2:3 (just text)
    20×30 (clickable)
    40×60 (clickable)
    60×90 (clickable)

    panorama sizes (just text)
    20×40 (clickable)
    20×60 (clickable)

    Square sizes (just text)
    30×30 (clickable)
    40×40 (clickable)
    50×50 (clickable)

    Can you please help me?

    Hi @ralorana,

Unfortunately, WooCommerce does not currently support separators in the dropdown attribute list out of the box. However, you can achieve this by using a plugin or custom code.

One possible solution is to use a plugin like Product Add-Ons or WooCommerce Extra Product Options, which allows you to create additional product options, including section headings that can act as separators.

Alternatively, you could hire a developer to create a custom solution for you. They could create a custom dropdown attribute that includes separators based on your specifications.

I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get the job done.

    Hi,
thank you for your answer and your time.
I am using the plugin “extra product options (epo)” you mentioned as well as wp spreadsheets.
assumed I would add the 60+ sizes in epo, I’d have to maintain the options’ prices in there as well. Unfortunatedly, wpspreadsheet does not read epo tables. Every price change I’d make would have to be manually or with the not so user friendly mass add function.

I guess, I’ll just hope and wait until woo implements this feature into the core…
Although I am surprised that this has not happened, yet. I can’t be the only one missing this 🙁

    Hey, @ralorana!

I’m sad to hear you were not able to achieve your goal.
Have you reached out to the wp spreadsheets to see if they can help with that?

Regarding adding this option to WooCommerce core, we appreciate your suggestion and are always looking for ways to improve our products and services, and input from users like you is invaluable.

We have a website where you can submit feature requests and upvote the ones other people submitted and you like. You can check that out here.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have further questions.

    Have a wonderful day!
