Problem with Canonicals
-
Hi,
A website that we’re currently optimizing supports three language: AT (Austrian German – set as default), CH (Swiss German), and DE (German). We use the WPML plugin and all the pages have self-referenced Canonicals. Except the main Case Studies pages for the CH and DE versions. The Canonicals of these pages are referencing to the /at/ version of the Case Studies, but we want them to have self-referenced Canonicals. But, since the Case Studies is an archive page, we can’t edit it manually. And neither can we change its’ canonicals in the Yoast plugin. These are URL’s:
https://www.an-digital.com/ch/case-studies/ –> Canonicals references to /at/case-studies/ ; same for all URLs below
https://www.an-digital.com/ch/case-studies/page/2/
https://www.an-digital.com/de/case-studies/
https://www.an-digital.com/de/case-studies/page/2/
On the other hand, all the Case Studies pages have correct Canonicals. Example:
https://www.an-digital.com/ch/online-marketing-agentur/seo/ –> References correctly to /ch/
But, the main Case Studies URLs (/case-studies/) have this problem. Not other pages.
Can someone help us on this issue? Thanks in advance :))The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
