Post Views Not Counting on WordPress Admin

    Hello,

    We have WordPress installed on our domain, which was working fine until the end of December, when suddenly the post counter in the admin section of the WordPress back-end stopped counting views.

    All posts views are 0, which also makes us wonder if the post counts have stopped being counted on previous posts as well. You can see the admin screen in the shot below:

    Could someone help me understand how to fix this problem? I have spoke to Hostgator, our hosting company, which has been of no assistance.

    WordPress itself does not provide post view counts.

    What stats plugin are you using for this?

    What do you mean stats plugin? This was the base install that was counting post views.

    If you can recommend a plugin, I would appreciate it?

    There is absolutely nothing in WordPress that counts post views, the column you’re referring to simply does not exist in a fresh WordPress installation.

    This was the base install

    Your screenshot shows at least 6 active plugins, so that is very much not a base install.

    If you can recommend a plugin

    In your screenshot, there is a section of your Dashboard provided by a plugin, because it is also not a part of a fresh WordPress installation, called “Analytics.” If I had to guess, that’s the one providing the Post Views section.

    If you deactivate whatever plugin is causing that “Analytics” Dashboard section to appear, and the Post Views column also disappears, then I recommend contacting support for that plugin since it is not working properly.

    If deactivating that plugin does not cause the Post Views column to diappear, what other stats plugins do you have installed?
