Possible to display SIZE of same image in Lightbox? | WordPress.org

I am wondering if it is possible to have the Lightbox display a different size of the WordPress image — for instance, to initially load a gallery of images at thumbnail size “medium” on the page for optimal performance, but then when you click the image and the Lightbox opens, to have the lightbox display instead the “large” or “full”-size version of the individual attachments?

Hi @wesatintellitonic,

WordPress will set the Full-Size URL to the Media File as the URL, and the Lightbox use this by default.

You can choose a different image size for the Gallery. But due to the srcset the Browser will decide which image size it will load based on the width and resolution. See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/HTML/Multimedia_and_embedding/Responsive_images
