Hello, my site uses post snippets throughout our woocommerce products to maintain info that is common to multiple products. It has coexisted just fine with Woocommerce Product Feed for a long time, but after a recent update it started causing the feed to error out. When I deactivate Post Snippets the feed works fine. When I reactivate it the feed errors out with 502 bad gateway. The WPF authors told me I can limit the size of the feed for testing, which I did and with a sufficiently small number of products it worked correctly. The funny thing is in the product descriptions in the limited test feed, the Post Snippets aren’t even expanding! So I’m wondering if they aren’t even expanding why is Post Snippets causing the feed to timeout/run out of memory? Do you have any insights? Please let me know if I can provide any more info. Thanks!

  • Hi,

Do you have a link to the Woocommerce Product Feed plugin?

    Cheers,

Hi Johan! Sure, this is the plugin: https://www.woothemes.com/products/google-product-feed/

Like I mentioned before, these two plugins used to get along fine so I’m not sure whether its due to a change in Post Snippets, Google Product Feed, or in WordPress itself. Thanks for any suggestions 🙂

Oh, I see it’s a paid plugin. Then I’ll not be able to download it and see what the problem might be. You’ll have to check with the author of that plugin, there should probably be support included.

    Cheers,
    Johan
