  • I’ll confirm this plugin broke a little with the new WordPress 4.3 update. If you save while looking at the “Visual” tab, the page refreshes and inserts the HTML version of your post into the box, and that is the text that goes live. So your post ends up being a giant paragraph of HTML codes.

For now, I’ve been having success with a very simple workaround:
Click on the “Text” tab before saving.
If you forget to do this, just cut-and-paste the HTML from the Visual tab to the Text tab, click the save button, and all is well.

I can confirm same broken behaviour. Best solution for now is to go to your profile and tick “Disable the visual editor when writing”.

Ditto on the broken plugin after upgrading to WP 4.3. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. If not, are there other workarounds in addition to LLJamie’s? I was already doing that, but my client will have some issues with having to do mess with it. Thanks much!

Actually, strike that – disabling the visual editor doesn’t make any difference, it still screws it up!

    Judy!

“Hopefully it will be fixed soon.”

    where did you read that?

is there another plugin option, in the meanwhile?

    Please fix this!

Rijeos, I didn’t read it, just hoping it will be fixed soon. Not sure about other similar plugins. Like you, I’m just a user of the plugin who is having trouble with it after updating WP.

just to also reconfirm. since updating to WP 4.3 this awesome plugin is sadly broken ;-( would be really more than awesome if someone could fix this 😉

    thanks & greetings 😉

This is the problem when you use a plugin to provide functionality that really should be built in to WordPress (are you reading this, WP people?)

I understand entirely why the WP devs should want to make things as easy as possible for non-techy users, and stripping out HTML for those users does make for a more stable and secure experience, but really sometimes you can go too far – it would be dead simple to add an option to the Reading settings screen to allow full HTML in posts!

So, until then, we just have to wait on the kindness of people like @marcuspope and @j-ro who provide these things to the community for free!

Thought it might be better to create a more specific post since this seems to be a compatibility issue with WP 4.3 rather than a regular plugin or user issue. Hope that was OK with all contributors here. New post is: No Longer Compatible with WP 4.3 Update 🙁

Yes, this has been doing this for me since maybe 4.1 or 4.2. It’s been extremely annoying :/ I do appreciate the tip on editing with the visual editor turned off though.
