Great plugin! We recommend it for ALL of our clients, and have using it for about a year now.

We are testing our G4 Ubuntu 18 stacks with PHP 7.3 and WordPress 4.9.8 and are running the most recent update, but now after update it provides authentication error.

Basically it doesn’t ever prompt to enter MFA code, only the standard WP login fields.

I’d be more than happy to work with you to debug. LKM.

    Hi,

Thank you for the report… you’ve titled the post “PHP 7.3 support”, but it’s not clear to me from the contents how it’s been narrowed down to that specifically? Are you saying that you can also run the same sites on the same server on PHP 7.2, and you get a different result when you do so?

Not displaying the TFA field is usually caused by a JavaScript exception from another component. Do you have any in the web developer console?

Do you get the same result if TFA is the only plugin active?

I note that PHP 7.3 support isn’t part of any current WP release (https://make.wordpress.org/core/2018/10/15/wordpress-and-php-7-3/), but I don’t know if that’s a factor or not.

Ref: Error: The one-time password (TFA code) you entered was incorrect.

    Hi Dave,

My apologies. I should have asked: “Have you done any testing yet with PHP 7.3?”

Well, I have answered my own question, and found the issue in the process.

Good news is that your plugin is working on Ubuntu 18 w/ PHP 7.3, WP 4.9.8 🙂

It seems Apache PageSpeed [for some reason, as in the past it did not require an exclusion] now needs to have this plugin js excluded. So to make things easier, I just added the path to the plugin in PS disallow. Everything appears to be working again.

Thanks for the prompt reply, a very useful plugin, and your ref links.

    Have a great day!

    Regards,

    A.I
