Hello @onurkk
That’s strange, The AMP plugin should be easily deleted without issues once it’s deactivated.
This might happen due to third-party plugin with dependency to AMP or PHP OPcache.
We will recommend clearing your PHP OPcache just in case you have enabled it.
also, login using FTP or Cpanel and make sure that /wp-content/plugins/
directory does not contain /amp/
plugin and that it’s completely deleted.

I have no idea how to clear ‘PHP OPcache’. I’m using Litespeed and I disabled it, still no luck. When I say uninstall the plugin, it deletes my settings, but not the plugin. How else can it be removed? Also, interestingly, when I deactivate it, all my content is redirected to a link (mobile only)

I was able to remove the plugin when I cleared the opcache, but google still redirects all my content to a single link. I cannot uninstall the plugin without problems.
Hello @onurkk
Once you delete the AMP plugin the amp version of your pages will no longer exist, which means your non-AMP pages will no longer have <link rel=”amphtml”> tag
If an AMP page is requested from Google Search or a request is made from other platforms where AMP cache exits they will land on 404 pages not found, we will have to redirect that traffic to non-AMP pages.
You can use this mini plugin to which can redirect users from AMP to non-AMP pages.
We hope this is helpful!
