map service for website

    Hi,
    I would like to know what kind of map service i should use for website like this, in previous days, i used google map but it didn’t work anymore and free only for 3 months. I wonder if there is any another map service,which i could use for my website. Can you give me any recommendations?

    Hello,

    Maybe you can try using other services like Bing Maps or TomTom. Try that and see if that helps.

    FWIW, Google Maps Embed is still free. It’s unclear what map functionality you’re after, so Embed may not be adequate. Also, while the other Maps APIs do involve fees, you do get a monthly free usage quota. Something like 28k requests I think (unverified). If you have a well trafficked site and go over the quota, it can get pretty expensive. You can set a ceiling in your Maps account to help protect yourself from costly surprises should your map page go viral.

    If your current map implementation doesn’t work for technical reasons, something that does work could be found. But if you’re changing anyway, it would be worth taking a look at Kartik’s suggestions.

    it keeps telling me to do a billing account and I think I have to pay around $150 or more than this in a month after trail but I don’t want to spend that much yet as we are in the testing stage. And Kartik, I will try yours and will tell you back,thanks for your advice.
