Issue with and child theme

I have found that when I use this code it pulls from the parent directory and not the child theme. I am unsure how to change this?
Example: <link rel=”stylesheet” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘template_directory’); ?>/slicknav.css”>
I have this CSS in my child theme, but the webpage is trying to locate it in the parent theme.
