Toggling between Text and Visual editor removes {FIELD} when it’s isolated.
For example, writing something like this in the Text editor [pass field=action_link]<a href="#0" {FIELD}>Get it now</a>[/pass] will remove {FIELD} when toggled over to the Visual editor.
This is done by the Visual editor, and is outside the control of this plugin. It looks like it’s filtering HTML attributes to make them valid.
There’s a new feature I introduced recently, a small code editor suitable for writing HTML and shortcodes. It’s currently only enabled for the Meta Shortcode module. If you’d like to try it, here are the steps:
– Enable the Meta Shortcode module under Settings
– Create a “shortcode” post and move your code there
– Call that shortcode from the post where you’d like it to display
This way, you can edit code safely outside the Visual editor. Please note that it’s still experimental.
