Increase number of items above 5000 | WordPress.org

Hello, i know, you limited number of items in a drop down to 5000 due to performance issues. We need to increase it or remove the limit, we are on VPS and a load is not an issue. Is there easy way to do that?

we use AC Pro for custom fields

There is a hook where you can change this number.

Maybe Smart Filtering could work better than filtering in your use case, because showing a drop down with more than 5000 or even 1000 items is not very useful, I think.

thank you, just what i was looking for. client want to scroll down this particular field, see all results in alphabetical order, so your answer will do just fine
