When I select ‘new post’ in WordPress I would like to have the option for the new post to contain some pre-filled content by default. This is to save me having to add the same content and select the same options repeatedly.

For example I would like to:

• Have some pre-written content in the post
• Have multiple categories selected in the post
• Have multiple tags filled in the post
• Have some custom fields filled in the sport

I expect this is going to require some new function or hook or something but I have no idea where to start. Can anyone help please?

To be clear, I’m not looking for every new post to have this pre-written content. Ideally I’d like to have options for a ‘new post’ and a ‘new post with extras’ or something like that.
