I get “There was an error processing your order. Please check for any charges in your payment method and review your order history before placing the order again.” when placing an order on my website. My clients don’t get to confirm their orders but I get them in the back-end.
I have run tests to find any conflicting plugins and haven’t found any. I tried to change the theme but still got the same results. I removed all payment processing plugins and left cash on delivery and I still have the same problem. Please help me out. This has lowered my sales

To confirm, you ran a conflict test and this issue is happening with Cash On Delivery on a website with only WooCommerce active and a default theme such as Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four, correct?

I found another thread where the user had this error and it was an issue with their host. They did mention the host had issues with one specific plugin, which you don’t seem to use, Google Analytics Pro, but can you please reach out to your host and check if everything is okay on their end or if there’s something going on that can be causing this?

Hello,

We are facing the same problem.
We are getting multiple orders because customers keep clicking on Purchase button and facing this error.

We get order on the backend side, but no email is sent as confirmation.

Customer is facing this error message on our checkout page:

“There was an error processing your order. Please check for any changes in your payment method and review your order history before placing order again.”

I dont know how to do that.
This problem started to happen day or two before today.

The Command out-of-sync error occurred in the three cases below.
- If you are using the cache or security plugin.
- If the memory size is exhausted.
- If the memory size is exhausted.
Can you please try the below steps to identify the issue?
- If you use any cache, security plugin or server cache, please disable it and check it again.
- Check if your site database memory size is exhausted or not. To do so, you can increase your WP Memory Limit from 256 MB to 512 MB or higher.
- Switch to a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four, disable all other plugins except WooCommerce, and check whether the issue is resolved.

This suggests that the cache plugin is still active on your site or server. Can you check again and make sure no cache is active? Also, check whether your hosting server has any corn issues. If needed, you can contact your hosting provider for assistance with this.
