• Hi,

    I’m using Puretype theme. My header and right sidebars are out-of-alignment now.

    Sometimes I see error messages inside my WP widget section as below:
    The “text” block was affected by errors and may not function properly. Check the developer tools for more details.

    May I know how do I fix this error? Thanks.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @lklow

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/
    It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
    On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.
    There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/

    If it is not working even after doing all this, then there is a simple solution.

    You only have to install & activate the “Classic Widgets” plugin. It would resolve the issue.

    Thanks.

    Thank you Aezaz for your guidance.

    My theme is a paid theme and some of the layouts have been modified to suit my ads. Is it safe to switch to the default theme to check and reverse to my own theme. Will I be able to get back my initial customisation?

    I had tried to install Classic Widget plugin as per your recommendation. I noticed that the problems come from my ad tags.

    The error message shows:
    This widget may have contained code that may work better in the “Custom HTML” widget. If you haven’t yet, how about trying that widget instead?

    Below is one of the ad tags which has this error message:

    <div id="ga_3429235"> </div><div style="text-align:right; width:300px; padding:5px 0;">
       <img src="http://bcdn.grmtas.com/images/gourmetads-logo.jpg" alt="logo" style="float:right; border:none;" />
       <div style="width:auto; padding:4px 5px 0 0; float:right; display:inline-block; font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color:#333;">
          <a href="https://www.gourmetads.com" target="_blank" title="Food Advertisements" style="text-decoration:none; color:#333;">Food Advertisements</a> by
       </div>
    </div>

    Since the ad tag is fixed by my advertiser, what else should I try now? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Aezaz

    I have changed them to Custom HTML widget but the side bars are still out-of-alignment.
