I’m facing issue in implementing GST, kindly help me.

See: If seller & buyer are in the same state: SGST & CGST should be charged (“No IGST should be charged only SGST & IGST”)

    Or

If seller & buyer are in a different state: Only IGST should be charged (“No SGST with IGST or No CGST with IGST. Simply only “just IGST alone should be charged”).

Let’s just take a simple example:

    1) Buyer & Sellers are from SAME STATE

Buyer A Purchase smartphone from Seller B & buyer & seller are from SAME STATE. Now let’s assume that the price of the smartphone is 15,000rs & GST for a smartphone is 18%.

So, the total should be like this –

    Subtotal: 15,000

    SGST (9%): 1,350 #Comment: 15,000 * 9 / 100 = 1,350 Rs

    CGST (9%): 1,350 #Comment: 15,000 * 9 / 100 = 1,350 Rs

    Total: 17,700 Rs

So, in this example, SGST + CGST = 18%.

    2) Buyer & Sellers are from DIFFERENT STATE

Buyer A Purchase smartphone from Seller B & buyer & seller are from DIFFERENT STATE. Now let’s assume that the price of the smartphone is 15,000rs & GST for a smartphone is 18%.

So, the total should be like this –

    Subtotal: 15,000

    IGST (18%): 2,700 #Comment 15,000 * 18 / 100 = 2,700 Rs

    Total: 17,700 Rs

So, in this example, IGST = 18%.

So, combining SGST & CGST it will become 18%

Kindly help me out to implement this tax system. Please it’s really urgent.

I’m really sorry because the message is too long, but the thing is, if I’ll be not able to apply proper GST (TAX) as per Seller & Buyer State, I’ll not be able to start my Business.

I’m using WCFM for make my website to make Multivendor Marketplace.

So kindly help me to implement this kind of TAX system.

  • Hello there,

Using this plugin will allow you to manage the GST tax configuration for your store:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-gst/.

Also, please make sure to contact a tax specialist since each country/region/state may implement different taxes as well.
