    Hello,

Thank you to anyone who can assist with this issue!

On the homepage of my site I have two images in a gallery. When editing the page, the gallery shows the captions in white font, with a gray background, and they are oriented on the left bottom of the image. The images also have a border between them. Everything seems normal and appears as I want when editing. See here – https://photos.app.goo.gl/aLFkYwfUofwkgiC47

However, when I view the actual page on a browser, the images do not have the text formatting I set, nor do they have the border formatting that was set. I tested this on google chrome, Internet Explorer, and my mobile device (iOS), and none of them show the gallery as I have it set to appear. See here – https://photos.app.goo.gl/RqG1HkoS1dcakaBE9

Why is this image gallery showing as I want when editing the page, but not when I view the page in a browser?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

  • Hello @@jwasko1 ,
    Hope you’re doing well.

Regarding your issue, we have recreated the issue on our end and the options are all working properly. Check out the screenshot here: https://d.pr/i/nBhC90

Can you please do a Plugin-Conflict test? Deactivate all the third-party plugins one by one except for Image Gallery Block. Simply go to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to wp-admin -> Plugins and then deactivate the other Plugins.
Also, while visiting your website I can see that there is a mixed content error you are facing.
Please see the screenshot here: https://d.pr/i/4uxIRcIn WordPress, mixed content refers to a situation where a website is served over HTTPS (secure) but includes resources, such as images, scripts, or stylesheets, that are loaded over HTTP (insecure). This can result in a security warning being displayed to visitors and may cause issues with the website’s functionality.
Also, you can check your site’s URL in the Settings => General page of your WordPress Admin Dashboard from HTTP to HTTPS.

If you are still facing the issue, you can check out this doc here: https://www.plesk.com/blog/various/mixed-content-warnings/

Let us know how it goes.

    Thank you.

    Hello @oaurunima,

Thank you very much for the response! The instructions and troubleshooting steps you provided seemed to work great!

I deactivated the other plug ins, and re-installed the image gallery block, and now I have the image gallery and settings I was expecting to see.

Likewise, I went into my general settings, and updated the URL to have HTTPS instead of HTTP. I believe that fixed the mixed content error from what I can tell. I also made sure the links for the images had HTTPS in the URL.

Thanks again for your help and quick response – much appreciated!

    Kind regards,

    Jeremy – Magna Terra
