Hi there. I have an issue on my website with WooCommerce: sometimes my customers cannot finish the order on the checkout page showing the message “error processing checkout, try again later”. That error does not always appear so I can’t reproduce the error.

I tried to change my theme and deactivated all plugins, but this issue occurs again on some customers and I still can’t reproduce it.

Here is my status website: https://gist.github.com/jbanosr/55174724ca305f9f8fee5797163ffc64

What could I do? Could someone help me, please?

    Thank you for your helping,

    Best regards,

    Hi there @jbanosr,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Looking at your shared fatal error logs, I could notice that the errors state ‘CRITICAL Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded CONTEXT‘.

This typically occurs when a script takes longer than the allotted time to run.

To resolve this, you can increase the maximum execution time by editing the ‘php.ini’ file. Locate the line that says ‘max_execution_time’ and increase the value to something higher than 30. If you can’t find this file or aren’t comfortable editing it, I’d recommend reaching out to your hosting provider for assistance.

As for the issue “error processing checkout, try again later”, it sounds like the issue might be related to a server-side error or a conflict with certain browser extensions. However, without being able to reproduce the error, it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact cause.

You’ve done the right steps so far by changing your theme and deactivating your plugins. As a next step, I’d recommend asking your customers for more information about the error. This could include the browser they were using, the time the error occurred, and any other details they can provide. This information can help us identify a pattern and potentially reproduce the error.

I would also suggest checking your server error logs. These logs can provide more detailed information about what’s happening on the server when the error occurs. If you’re not sure how to access these logs, your hosting provider should be able to assist you.

If you continue to experience this issue, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us again. We’re here to help.
