  • I am also having problems since the update. The plugin no longer works and has caused my Genesis Responsive Slider and Instagram Feed to disappear. I have had to deactivate it?

    Sorry for this hiccup!

The issue has been reported to the StudioPress developers so that an updated version with some missing files can be prepared. I don’t have a timeline on this yet, but thank you for the report.

After the update, the share buttons disappeared. I tried reinstalling the plugin, still not working.

Also, the featured image in every post wouldn’t display. I’m using Monochrome Pro.

I’m running into the same problem as @chris179.

Looks like the plugin is looking for the compiled sources in /lib/, but when looking into the file structure, only the /src/ files are there, and /lib/ only hosts the .php files.

So it doesn’t look like the plugin is compiling the source files into their distribution counterparts.

The buttons just dissapeared after the update, I mean front-end.

Also, there are no buttons in the Settings page of the plugin, Live Preview.

Hope this helps to fix the issue.

Thanks for these notes – the issue has been reported and an update to fix this will be prepared.

For now, you can either deactivate the plugin, or delete it and then download and install 1.0.9 using the form at the bottom of this page: https://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-simple-share/advanced/

Thanks again for starting this thread, and I’m sorry for the wait in putting this right.

Thank you so much for your patience while we worked on this.

1.1.1 was just released and should resolve the issue. Please let us know if you need further assistance!

No, version 1.1.1 did not solve the problem. The social media buttons are still missing and the plugin still caused my featured images to disappear.

Everything is working well here. With 1.1.1 I do not experience any problems.

@todorchristov, I wonder why we have different results. I tried deactivating all my plugins to see where the problem is. It is still the same. Version 1.1.1 makes the featured image disappear and the social media buttons are still missing. For now, I installed version 1.0.9 until the problem is resolved.

I use “https” with Genesis Metro theme and the latest version ot WordPress.

Me too. I use https with Monochrome Pro theme and the latest WordPress version. I’m testing on two sites. The other theme is No Sidebar Pro. I’m getting the same results. This is weird.

By the way, I can see the sharing buttons on your pages, @jojoagot, they are placed below each post. The featured image of each post is there, too.

    I am talking about https://www.jojoagot.com

Thank you for checking, @todorchristov. I appreciate your reply. But that’s actually because I downgraded to version 1.0.9.

    Tagging @modernnerd and @dreamwhisper.

@chris179 I’m so sorry you’re still having trouble. I haven’t yet been able to replicate the issue with Monochrome or No Sidebar.

We’d love to help you troubleshoot this further. Could you log into your My.StudioPress account and submit a ticket at https://my.studiopress.com/help/ so we can get some additional details from you?

One thing that comes to mind is that, in the latest version, the folder location of the js files is different so if the page is cached, it is possible that the page is requesting a file that is no longer in the original location.
