I have a functioning WordPress site, but started development of a new one with a new domain and installed Jetpack (which I have on my main site). The new site didn’t work out and I deleted it, using its domain for forwarding to a non-Wordpress website.

I now have continuous messages telling me that my WordPress site (with its old domain) is unresponsive, now back online, now unresponsive, now back online. The website the domain points to works fine but obviously Jetpack needs to have the domain removed.

Only, I cannot find any way to do so. How can I remove a domain from Jetpack’s settings, when that software and site have been deleted and the domain now points to a non-Wordpress site?

    Hi there @chrisjh94,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

How can I remove a domain from Jetpack’s settings, when that software and site have been deleted and the domain now points to a non-Wordpress site?

Could you please share with us the site URL for which you want to have the Jetpack notifications turned off?

    Thanks!

Thanks for helping – it will be a relief to stop the continuous error messages. The website at cavebooks.co.uk no longer exists, though the domain remains in use but now only generates Jetpack messages.

I’ve disconnected Jetpack from the cavebooks.co.uk site. You should no longer get those Jetpack Downtime Monitor messages.

In the future, you can also follow this guide to disconnect Jetpack from your WordPress.com account: https://jetpack.com/support/disconnect-jetpack-sites/

Thanks for the help – and I’ll take note of what I should have done first if this ever crops up again
