• One of the things that has most fascinated me is how bad and buggy WooCommerce/Automatic’s own plugins are compared to 3rd party plugins. This plugin is no exception. It straight up doesn’t work. You click Connect login fine, and then when you click the redirect back to site button you get the -very helpful- WordPress error “invalid action”. I installed WP Easy Pay Square plugin and the same process worked just fine.

EDIT: Plugin no longer produces this error, which was caused by Object Cache Pro plugin, but other similar-functioning plugins were not affected at all.

    Hey @co50,

    Sorry to hear that!

You click Connect login fine, and then when you click the redirect back to site button you get the -very helpful- WordPress error “invalid action”.

We’ve received a similar request from another merchant and this error happens due to a MU (Must Use) caching plugin on the server.

If you prevent that Must Use Caching plugin from loading, the Square connection works just fine.

Can you please your site’s System Status Report so we can check if your site is also affected by the same caching plugin issue?

    Looking forward to hearing back!

Hi, that would mean your plugin is incompatible with Object Cache Pro, which is the MU plugin installed on our server. We would not be willing to disable that for it to work, since we found an alternative that works fine with it enabled. But hopefully you can work to make your plugin compatible, knowing what the culprit is.

    Hi @co50,

Our plugin – “WooCommerce Square” is indeed compatible with Object Cache Pro. However, recently there have been updates made to the Object Cache Pro plugin itself which is causing the issue.

The developers of the Object Cache Pro are working on a fix and they will be releasing a new version soon. This bug was likely introduced in v1.15.0 of Object Cache Pro.

Since this issue is not from our end, can you please edit the review and let us know if you have any questions? I’ll be happy to answer them and assist you further!

    Thanks! 🙂

Sorry, but I won’t be changing the review because two competing plugins with the exact same redirect-back-to-site screen as yours work just fine with Object Cache Pro active. If Object Cache was interfering with this mechanism, none of them would work.

    Okay, no problem.

To clarify, the other plugins might not be affected by this change introduced in Object Cache Pro thus they were not affected. Our developers have tracked this down to a conflict with the Object Cache Pro plugin that’s a MU plugin on Cloudways.

We have notified the developers of Object Cache Pro and they will release a fix for it. The bug was likely introduced in Object Cache Pro v1.15.0.

After the fix is released by them, you can try again and let us know if the issue is still there.

    Thanks! 🙂

    Hey @co50,

I am following up to let you know that Object Cache Pro developers have fixed the issue from their end with the new version 1.16.0 as I mentioned above since the issue was not from WooCommerce Square.

You can look at the change of Object Cache Pro here: https://objectcache.pro/docs/changelog

You can try connecting again by making sure your host has updated the Object cache pro version for your server and let us know if the issue is still there.

    Thanks!

What specifically in their changelog indicates this specific issue was fixed?

I don’t use your plugin since I found one that did the same thing w/out the Object Cache Pro problems, but I’ll remove my review if I can verify it fixed the issue.

    Hey @co50,

What specifically in their changelog indicates this specific issue was fixed?

The line Don’t hijack action parameter on dashboards is the patch fixed released by ObjectCachePro to fix the issue you were seeing on your end.

You will find that line at the end of the changelog for v1.16.0:

I don’t use your plugin since I found one that did the same thing w/out the Object Cache Pro problems, but I’ll remove my review if I can verify it fixed the issue.

You can try connecting again and see if you are seeing the same issue. (Please make sure your host has updated the Object cache pro version for your server).

If you can edit the review after verifying the same – that’d be great!

    Thanks! 🙂

@sandipmondal, I recently tried installing and connecting. The error is still there even after disabling the Object Cache Pro and clearing all cache from the server.

Seems like the problem is still present.

Hi @tfcmarketing – Just so we can get a better understanding here, can you let us know the version of Object Cache Pro installed prior to disabling?

    Hey guys,

Kindly are we going anywhere moving forward with this???

There is a thread here that is the same issue – Invalid Action
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/invalid-action-2/#post-16006853

Just to answer @jricketts4 Cloudways is currently using Object Cache Pro Version 1.15.2

I’m currently trying to work with them to upgrade to 1.16.1

    Thank you

Since the fix was introduced in Object Cache Pro 1.16.1 we look forward to your feedback after your update.
Hopefully this will fix the issue.

Does anyone know the best alternative to woocommerce square?
My inventory from square to woo is not syncing right, images and variations are not consistent.
I tried woosquare plus which didn’t work well either.
    How about SKUIQ or Shopventory?
Just hoping there is a dependable way to sync products from square to woo.

    Thanks

    Hello @pat107

Can we please request you to create a new forum topic if you’re having trouble with WooCommerce Square?

We’re happy to further investigate what could be causing the issues in your store.
