Hello! Since the latest versions, the “delivery area” link no longer appears here. Despite this, it is possible to click on it by pointing the mouse at a specific point just behind the “|” bar. Apparently it is a translation problem for the Portuguese BR version.

    Hello laserstore

    Thanks for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand that, since the latest updates, the “delivery area” (Shipping zones) link no longer visibly appears for you, though it is still clickable at a specific point behind the “|” bar in the Portuguese BR version.

Could you confirm if this link is appearing on the English version?

I would like to mention that this could be a caching-related issue. Have you tried clearing your cache or accessing your site using a different browser to see if the link reappears?

To help you further, I’d like to understand more about your setup.
Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status?
You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com
After that, you can paste the Gist link here in your reply.

Looking forward to your response. 🙂

    Hi @doublezed2 !

Yes, in English it appears normally. The problem occur only in Portuguese BR. That’s why I believe it’s a translation error, just like addresses, which has been occurring for many versions and has not been corrected.

The problem is not cache, i´m not using cache in this example.

    Hey, @laserstore!

    Thanks for the screenshots.

I switched the language of my website to Português – BR and the shipping areas link is showing as expected.

    Here’s a screenshot:

Regarding the second screenshot, can you please clarify where is it from so we can check it out?

It is possible a plugin you have is causing the issue. To investigate that, you will need to do a conflict test.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

    — Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

    — Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    — It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

You can find more about this in this guide.

Please let us know about your findings so we can assist you further.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi @carolm29 !

The address label problem has occurred since version 7.4 in woocommerce BR and there are already several requests for fixing, as it is a translation problem. See: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/27655

However, since this version, in order for me to fix the problem, I need to access the woocommerce code itself and translate directly into it. Here is the path I use: wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/wc-account-functions.php. Then I locate the Addresses string and change it to “Endereço” in Brazilian Portuguese. The problem is that I have to change it every time I update as it is overwritten.

    See a screenshot using storefront:

Regarding the problem with the delivery area, it really is a conflict with a Brazilian delivery plugin, so I will need to pass this problem on to the developers so they can fix it. I apologize for not paying attention to this, and I really appreciate your response and commitment.

No worries! I’m glad you found the issue and I hope they can help you fix it soon 🙂

Thanks for sharing the GitHub link. While checking it I noticed that the issue is closed as the problem regarding Woo Core was already solved. Now it is a matter of translation, which is done by our awesome community.

As you can see here, Brazilian Portuguese translation is not 100% yet. If you would like to contribute to the official translation, you can read more about it here.

If after having it added to the translation the issue persists, please let us know so we can assist you further.

Hi @carolm29 , sorry for delay!

There is already a translation for the string “Addresses”, but it appears that there has not yet been approval or release for it. What should I do in this case? One of those responsible for the development of woocommerce is Claudio Sanchez himself, who directly contributes to this translation process as he is Brazilian.

    Thanks!

    Hey, @laserstore!

Only a translation editor can approve a translation.

You can reach out to one of the editors to see if they can help speed this up.

While the translation is not released yet, you might want to try a translation plugin such as Loco Translate or PoEdit.

    I hope this helps.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hi @carolm29 ! Thank you for your response!

I think you didn’t understand me, I’m sorry. The term is translated in Loco Translate, but there is no correct functioning of the term. This problem has not been resolved since version 7.4 where whenever we install or update woocommerce, this term does not appear. Can you test it there? Adresses in Portuguese is “Endereços” in the plural.

    Hi @doublezed2 ! No problem.

    Here 100% translated

    Here the string translated

    https://snipboard.io/Jkbyr2.jpg

If you can do a simulation, just install woocommerce in Portuguese BR and check that in the “my account” area this string will either not appear, or will not be translated. This problem has occurred since version 7.4

    Thanks!!

    @laserstore @leodefaveri Hi folks 👋

I’d recommend taking a look at this comment, on GitHub, if the chance to do so did not appear already.

Further below, this is mentioned for Brazilian Portuguese, so I went ahead with checking its status currently. It appears that some strings are still waiting to be approved. (screenshots showcasing this, linked here and here)

I’ll go ahead with cc’ing @claudiosanches and @wiliamjk, since they are Translation Editors.

    I hope that helps!

    Olá!

My name is Wiliam and I am a volunteer translation editor for the Brazilian team.

I saw your case and, to speed things up, I rushed to approve/correct the translations that mention “address” and “shipping zones”. These translations are already approved and will be automatically distributed by the WordPress update system.

WooCommerce is a very difficult plugin to keep 100% updated as it constantly receives updates and has many strings. And all the people who translate the plugin are volunteers, often with other priorities.

So, if you are interested, you can also contribute by translating or even as editors by approving/rejecting translations. The translation process is simple, see here and our community is very open to helping you. If you want to talk, call us on Slack!

I hope this solves the problem mentioned.

Hi @anastas10s and @wiliamjk ! Many thanks for responses!

Pepe, thank you for your collaboration and help in communicating to the staff who handle the matter.

Wiliam, thank you very much for your answer and yes, I completely understand that there are a lot of strings that come in and I’m sure I can help. I will be signing up as a contributor to translations on Slack and becoming a PTE.
Regarding the translation, thank you very much, because with each update it is necessary to manually edit all the stores I manage. Strings on the frontend are much more important than on the backend, so it will be great.
Thank you very much for everyone’s support, you are excellent!
