database plugin with photos and location

    Hi

    I wish to create a database. For each record I would like to be able to have a couple of pictures and description, and then to add tags.

    I am also keen to be able to attach it to some sort of google maps plugin so that each record lists a particular place and these can be put on a map.

    My aim is to create a database of places people can stay, with additional information on why. I would like for people to be able to search this database by various fields including things of interest type of accommodation and if possible by looking on a map.

    I have spent much time searching and cannot find a plugin that links all these things in one.

    I am hoping that someone can quickly point me in the right direction.

    What you are describing sounds like it can easily be a WordPress site with normal posts. By defining your desire in terms of creating a database, you have overlooked the fact that WordPress manages a database, and you can put all the things you want in it.
    So turn it around and think instead of what you want your visitor to see. It would be a way to search for places, and each place is a page with photos and description, interesting things, accommodations, and address. That is easily achievable with posts or pages or custom post type, and you only need a plugin to put multiple addresses on a map.
