• I have installed this plugin which is great however I’ve spotted Cookies relating to FontAwesome (called “__stripe_sid” and “__stripe_sid”).

I have found FontAwesome’s privacy policy: https://fontawesome.com/privacy however this does not help me at all in terms of making it clear to site visitors (not the FontAesome site) why data is being collected or what is being done with the data it collects.

Can someone please explain or tell me how to remove the cookie request.

    Much appreciated – thank you.

I don’t know why those cookies would be showing up in relation to this plugin.

After clearing cookies in my local environment, and using this plugin, I don’t see any such cookie showing up.

However, before I cleared cookies, I did see a similar looking cookie. Since I don’t know of any reason that it would have come from this plugin (there’s certainly no code in this plugin that sets such a cookie), it must have come from something else.

What evidence have you found that these cookies are related to the Font Awesome plugin?

You would see a cookie like them from visiting fontawesome.com (I think, especially if you’re logged in and you used a card–via Stripe–to make a purchase).

But that only pertains to fontawesome.com. This plugin itself doesn’t set any cookies. And certainly, this plugin has no connection to Stripe.

Is that a possibility in your case, that you had interacted with fontawesome.com, such that it set the cookie?
