When I have the NYOP plugin installed and I check that box when editing a product, the field to enter a cost of goods disappears.

Hello,
Our developers have suggested that you change the value of the Cost field position option. This option controls where the Cost field appears on the product edit page. Under the Products tab of the plugin’s settings, you’ll find this option.
Kindly give it a try. However, if the problem persists, then please let us know.
