Cant Upload (Import) All Products to New Site

    Hi all
    I had one WC site before and then it is closed. Before close I had exported all products as a scv. Now I have set up a new fresh WC site but I cannot import the CSV file into this new site?
    What is problem with tis csv? I had done nothing to csv file meanwhile.
    Both are same version WooCommerce???
    Any idea?

    Hi there!

    We would need a little more information to understand what might be causing the issue.
    What occurs when trying to import the CSV file? Do you see any error messages?

    Please note that if the exported data is not proper then it is bound to create problems during the import, so you must make sure you are following the import guidelines and using the correct format for the CSV.

    Tnks for your answer.
    As i said csv is exported same WC and trying to import same WC
    What is happening: There is 544 product in csv, while trying to import it says ALL PRODUCT NOT IMPORTED ONLY 9 PRODUCT IMPORTED. But if i look product list none of them comes even 9…..
    Dear, do you have a time to look my CSV file? I dont understant what is wong with it??

    I tried to import the CSV file to my personal site, and I was able to import 529 products successfully.

    Can you please share with us the step by step procedure you did to import the CSV file to your site and what was the output afterwards?

    If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io or http://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Additionally, I’d like to understand your site properly, please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Here’s the steps on how to import products to your site using the CSV file above:

    • Go to Products > Import
    • Click Browse to upload the CSV file and click Continue after.
    • Map the CSV fields to the products fields. Be sure to check this one by one as some fields are mapped while some are not like the highlighted part in the image below.
    • Once all fields are mapped, please click Run the Importer to start the import process.

    Thank you for sharing the screencast.

    I tried importing the file to my test site and I also had no problems doing so.

    These kinds of issues are usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
     
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Installed and activated StoreFront
    Disabled all plugins except WC
    Tried to import same csv that I shered with you.
    Conclusion: SAME :(((

    I understand that even after disabling all plugins except WooCommerce, switching to the default Storefront theme, and importing the same CSV file, you are still unable to import products, correct?

    Can you please try to disable any security services on your hosting environment and try to import again and see if this works?

    As for the screencast above, the error log states that the images for the failed products cannot be found. I tried to browse one image via my browser, and I am receiving the same error message here:

    Can you please make sure that the images are located inside your Media Library and you have access to it?

    Meanwhile, I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin. Then, try to import the products again and see if this works.

    Otherwise, if you could provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    I think i find problem: Image URL
    Look this is related to root. Images coming with this URL in CSV

    but my site and my WC is installed in https://kansusulama.net/new subfolder. And I am importing subfoler?

    Is it because of this? If yes
    May I open CSV file and replace all image URLs to /new/ folder???

    Glad to hear there’s some progress. For testing purposes, how about you try importing the file without the image column?

    Does it work when doing so?

    Also, could you please re-attach the import error log that was in the video and upload it to a Gist because the video link expired?

    First, please make sure that the correct image URL is accessible and is available on your Media Library. Then, you can try to update one product using the corrected image URL and see if that works.
