• Hello,

I have been using UAM for some time now without issues, however I recently used my UAM to only display certain posts to certain user groups instead of all of the posts visible. Now pages and users now have all the groups checked, not just 1. The weird thing about this is I am not able to uncheck those as they are all grayed out. I am able to uncheck the ones that are supposed to be checked which is weird.

I tried resetting the UAM plugin and starting fresh, which worked for a few days, then reverted right back to the above problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions? again this only started to happen when I incorporated posts with UAM. I only used to use it for users and pages they can view.

    Thank you!

as an update – I went and deleted all my posts which subsequently removed the grayed out check boxes for UAM and I am allowed to uncheck and check boxes as before.

I am guessing this has something to do with posts, does anyone have an idea as to why it does this?

    thanks!

I have the same question. Adding custom roles for various groups and then associating users with the custom role and the equivalent UAM group seems to solve this problem but doesn’t answer why the separate roles need to be created if they share the same capabilities.
