You have rollback to 8.40 again
—
WooCommerce -> Settings -> Advanced -> Features -> Marketplace
If this marketplace option is disabled in 8.4.0 or lower version of WooCommerce, and the plugin is updated then getting a fatal error.
If I enable this option and then update the plugin to 8.5, everything works fine.
The Marketplace option in in 8.4.0 version “New, faster way to find extensions and themes for your WooCommerce store” its enabled.
I have update the plugin to 8.5 twice, and always have got 403.
The update also triggers fail2ban and modsec, so all my domain visitors were banned. Including me. Had to change my ip to roll back to 8.35
same. i have installed the new version of the plugin and now my web site has crashed.
Hello everyone!
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The team is actively working to resolve it as fast as possible.
If for whatever reason you’re not able to downgrade to version 8.4.0, you can try enabling the marketplace suggestions option which the issue originates from via the following WP-CLI command.
wp --skip-plugins option update woocommerce_feature_marketplace_enabled yes
We apologize for any inconvenience caused!
The issue remains on the 8.5.1 version.
I confirm, the issue remains in 8.5.1, all my multisites and websites of our clients got 403, total disaster, was most of the day yesterday fixing the issue and talking to clients. I wonder why don’t they test security before in WooCommerce.
Website is not accessible with the 403 Forbidden error after a WooCommerce plugin update to 8.5.1
