• I’m brand new to website hosting, but I’m certified in HTML. Once I set up my site at Shaneguy.net, I wanted to edit the wordpress HTML so that I could move some DIV tags around and basically clean up the site. However, when I tried to replace the files, the website was logging strangers in as the admin, so I had to delete the files.
Now I want to basically wipe the slate clean and start a new wordpress, but I can’t auto-install the files anymore, as they have already been installed once. I can install them to a new sub-directory on the site (right now they are at “shaneguy.net/format”), but I’d really like the site to be at Shaneguy.net. Any way to install wordpress back to shaneguy.net?

try MANUALLY re-uploading all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first!
