I have taught Spanish and Galician language and literature, as well as European literature, in public secondary schools (1989-2006). In the meantime, I have completed my MA (1996) in Spanish Language and my PhD (2004) in Spanish Philology. Since 1996, I have also been involved in projects concerned with the relationship between syntax and semantics.
I have also participated in interdisciplinary projects since 2004 (history, sociology, biographic studies and social science).
As assistant professor at the University of Vigo since October 2005, I have taught undergraduate courses on grammar, dialectology, Spanish language in Latin American and Spanish Literature, as well as a PhD course on Everyday Writing: linguistics and discourse analysis.
I was a Visiting Post Doc at Faculty of Social Science of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and at Center of Linguistics of University of Lisbon. I am a Visitor Professor at Faculty of Letters of University of Coimbra. I am also Researcher of the Coimbra's University Centre for 20th Century Interdisciplinary Studies.
As Associate Professor at University of Vigo since 2010, I am participating and directing several projects on linguistics and gender.
