The aim of this study was to evaluate dry matter yield and nutritional value of palisade grass (B... more The aim of this study was to evaluate dry matter yield and nutritional value of palisade grass (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu) using nitrogen doses and sprinkler irrigation in two periods of the year, aiming at reducing seasonality of forage production. It was used a randomized block design in a split-plot scheme, with five doses of nitrogen (0, 50, 100, 150, and 200 kg/ha/cut), and the sub-plots were defined by the seasons of the year (wet and dry season), with and without irrigation. During the wet season, in the plots with and without irrigation, doses of 175 and 161 kg/ha/cut promoted the highest dry matter yields. During the dry season, 171 kg ha-1N with irrigation resulted in the highest dry matter yield. During the same season, there was no response to N fertilization in the lack of irrigation. Average contents of CP were 10% with and without irrigation.

It is essential for supplying water to the population and generating surpluses for sewage dilution. This study aimed to evaluate the annual performance of the components of water productivity from Landsat-8 images of 2015, using the Simple Algorithm for Evapotranspiration Retrieving (SAFER), calculating the actual evapotranspiration (ETa), biomass (BIO) and water productivity (WP). The annual averages of ETa, BIO and WP were 1.03 mm day-1, 36.04 kg ha-1 day-1 and 3.19 kg m-3, respectively. Su evolución pasada ha ido al unísono del avance de los conocimientos en materias propias de agronomía e ingeniería del agua y de la tecnología (desarrollo de materiales plásticos, elementos electrónicos…) llegando a un estado actual en el que todavía están por resolver muchos interrogantes que quedan como retos para el futuro. Due to its rapid growth and large areas that have settled, aquatic plants can cause harmful effects on wealth, either by the infestation or the high rate of evapotranspiration. Because the process of silting and eutrophication in Boi's watershed, large areas are infested by Typha angustifolia, which is the predominant species. They were identified only two species of submerged macrophytes, a floating and 1 emerged with floating leaf. The excessive growth of these plants can generate significant adverse impacts, particularly as regards the use of water resources. Keyword: macrophytes, lifting, irrigation.

Produtividade da água estimada pelo SAFER-Simple Algorithm for Evapotranspiration Retrieving em bacia hidrográfica R E S U M O A Bacia Hidrográfica do Córrego Cabeceira Comprida localizada no município de Santa Fé do Sul-SP, tem grande importância ambiental, sendo imprescindível para o abastecimento de água à população e para gerar excedentes para a diluição do esgoto gerado. Assim, este trabalho avaliou o comportamento anual dos componentes da produtividade da água a partir de imagens do Landsat-8 do ano 2015, utilizando-se o 'Simple Algorithm for Evapotranspiration Retrieving' (SAFER), sendo calculadas a evapotranspiração atual (ET a), a biomassa (BIO) e a produtividade da água (PA). As médias anuais da ETa, BIO e PA foram 1,03 mm dia-1 , 36,04 kg ha-1 dia-1 e 3,19 kg m-3 , respectivamente. As ETa médias anuais por uso e ocupação do solo foram 1,40, 1,23, 1,05, 0,97 e 1,08 mm dia-1 para mata remanescente (MR), espécies invasoras (EI), pastagem (Pa), cultura anual (CA) e cultura perene (CP), respectivamente, enquanto que as BIO apresentaram 57,64, 46,10, 36,78, 32,69, 40,03 kg ha-1 dia-1 para MR, EI, Pa, CA e CP, respectivamente, resultando em uma PA de 3,94, 3,59, 3,25, 3,09, 3,35 kg m-3 para MR, EI, Pa, CA e CP, respectivamente. As ET a , BIO e PA se ajustam à sazonalidade climática da região destacando-se a MR e as EI com os maiores valores.
To achieve sustainable development and to ensure water availability in irrigated vineyards, model... more To achieve sustainable development and to ensure water availability in irrigated vineyards, modelling is important to estimate the radiation and water balances components at the farm scale. Landsat satellite images and an agro-meteorological station were used together models for quantification of these components in a commercial table grape farm, with a mixture of varieties, located in Petrolina municipal district, Brazil, which showed good agreements with field measurements. Considering the radiation balance components, the mean values of surface albedo (α 0 ) ranged from 0.13 ± 0.02 to 0.16 ± 0.01; the surface temperature (T 0 ) from 300.9 ± 1.3 K to 304.8 ± 2.2 K, and the NDVI from 0.75 ± 0.07 to 0.79 ± 0.09. In relation to the water balance components, the variation in the mean values of the soil moisture at 40 cm depth was from 0.21 ± 0.11 cm 3 cm -3 to 0.26 ± 0.10 cm 3 cm -3 . The application of the models with agro-meteorological data of 2009 allowed the determination of the total actual evapotranspiration (ET) and the crop coefficient (K c ) for the generalized growing season (GS) in the second half of that year. The values for well irrigated vineyards varied, respectively from 440 to 550 mm GS -1 and 0.74 a 0.90. The similarity of the models results with field measurements and the trend with the crop stages gave confidence in their use with applicability in the semi-arid region of Brazil.
