Nydia Ruiz
Anthropologist, Central University of Venezuela (UCV), 1972. Doctorate in Anthropology, Université de La Sorbonne, Paris IV, France (1979). Full professor at the UCV. Head of the Department of Linguistics and Anthropology of the School of Anthropology and Coordinator on two occasions of the Doctorate in Social Sciences of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences UCV. Active emeritus researcher of the Center for Development Studies (CENDES) of the UCV.During my career I have worked in two areas at the same time, research, development and innovation policies, and the analysis of the political discourse of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. In both fields I have numerous papers, articles and a book. I also have worked as a consultant in knowledge and innovation management and risk management.I have experience in public service as Coordinator of the National Foresight Programme of the Ministry of Science and Technology (2000-2003).
