Civil society organizations (CSOs) play a pivotal role in the process of democratization by acting as key intermediaries between the government and the people, advocating for political reforms, promoting civic engagement, and safeguarding democratic values. This paper, will delve into the various roles that civil society organizations play in the democratization process and their significant contributions to fostering inclusive, transparent, and participatory democracies. These problems manifest in the political, economic, social, environmental, cultural and religious realms. One major and potent instrument which is used by various governments in national development all over the world to solve national problems is referred to as social planning. According to Galbraith (2012) social planning is the process of preparing a blueprint of action to attain stated objectives within a time frame. From this vantage point this paper examined the role of social planning in national development. National development is usually referred to as the improvement of a country in all aspects from socioeconomic to political spheres. The capacity of a nation to enhance the living standards of its citizens is usually used as the indicator for development. The paper examined different roles of social planning in national development such as determination of objectives, specifications of targets, strategy for mobilization of resources, allocation of outlays to different development sectors, blueprint of actions including their operationalization in the shape of policies, programmes and delivery system are aspects which have to be considered in any planning exercise.

In a bid to understand the impact of myths and misconception on the wellbeing on people with disability it’s crucial for one to be cognizant of the notion that it is complex, variable and contingent. It is from this vantage point that this essay seeks to explain how myths and misconceptions would impact on the wellbeing of people with disabilities. Various myths and misconceptions such as that sleeping with people with disabilities, hiring a disabled person increases insurance and people with disabilities cannot engage in sexual relations affect the wellbeing of people with disabilities form employability to health.

The research examine the awareness of sexual reproductive health rights services (SRHRS) among yo... more The research examine the awareness of sexual reproductive health rights services (SRHRS) among young girls engaged in sex work in Dzivarasekwa. The research utilised a total of 75 participants, 65 young girls engaging in sex work responded to the survey questionnaires while 5 of them opted for an interview. Totally 70 girls engaging in sex work were utilised and 5 key informants were also interviewed. The research employed a mixed method approach in particular concurrent triangulation approach which allowed simultaneous data collection, fusion, and use of quantitative and qualitative data. The research applied the reproductive justice framework as the theoretical framework for the research. The data from the research proved that most young girls engaging in sex work are generally not aware of their sexual reproductive health rights. 83.1% of the total respondents lacked awareness of their SRHRS. The low awareness of SRHRS among young girls engaging commercial sex work is largely attributed to conservatism cultural beliefs and lack of progressive laws that supports everyone in a clear and less ambiguous manner. Unfriendly health care workforce, and poor budgeting towards health sector, poor SRHRS information dissemination and restrictive legal instruments which controls age restrictive measures to access SRHR services. The following measures can improve SRHRS awareness access to contraception through improving health budget, comprehensive sex education to increase the knowledge of girls around the issues of sexuality helps in prevention and care for sexually transmitted illnesses. Youth friendly services are also central in providing a platform upon young girls engaging in sex work can seek services freely.
