Forms of vernacular houses (superposition, combination, juxtaposition and nomadism) are described in relation to four climates: hot-dry, hot-humid, cold-dry, cold-humid and to one or two extreme climatic situations. The examples illustrate solutions adopted in the search for comfortable living conditions in very different climatic contexts.
