Don Milligan
I taught a course on anti-capitalism for seven years (2004-2011) at Manchester Metropolitan University. My focus was upon the kind of life to which the development of commercial society has given rise; our discussions centred upon what it might mean to pose a plausible alternative to such a social order.
This work was informed by my long active engagement with communist politics and with a lengthy period of work in the gay liberation movement.
Currently, I am engaged in writing a monograph that looks at how most people encounter capitalism in the context of contemporary arguments concerning communism; the working title is, The Embrace of Capital: Capitalism from the inside, due to be published by Zero Books in April 2022, and is now available for pre-order at Amazon.
You can get more information and interviews about forthcoming book, The Embrace of Capital: Capitalism from the inside, on www.embraceofcapital.net.
My other main area of interest is the war between the Arabs and the Jews over the future of Israel-Palestine. See www.donmilligan.net
Finally, I am the Business Manager of the journal Kant Studies Online which can be found at www.kantstudiesonline.net
