This research aims to study and design a single mode optical fiber using simulation, with a core ... more This research aims to study and design a single mode optical fiber using simulation, with a core and glass cladding, and also helps in ensuring the efficiency to use the optical fiber designed within the broading window C-Band,and that these researches and studies tries to use this window. This research also shares to set the light on the Numerical Programmes and Simulation used now in studying and designing these optical fibers. At first we used the programOptifiberto reach the confidence of Sellmeier equation for the fiber core, and this completed by using the finite element method solving the equation of propagation the electric field and finding its 3-D distribution, using the famous simulating COMSOLMultiphysics. This completed by putting the program MATLAB to reach the two equation: the total dispersion and attenuation for the designed optical fiber.

This study is focusing on reducing student exam anxiety by using the hot seat teaching strategy o... more This study is focusing on reducing student exam anxiety by using the hot seat teaching strategy on sport psychology module. The group under investigation was selected from final year graduated student for the academic year 2018/19. Research sampling contains 66 students divided into two groups based on 33 randomly selected students on each group. Afterword, the sampling was reduced Wasit Journal of Sports Sciences ‫الرياضية‬ ‫للعلوم‬ ‫واسط‬ ‫مجلة‬ 2022 ‫تموز‬ 209 to 28 students by rejecting the bad sampling of students with low attendance and failures. The groups went through a set of an exploration experiments were the controllable group had been trained throughout the simple normal training method and the experimental group have be trained by using Hot Set Teaching Strategy (HSTS). HSTS curriculum applied based on 16 training units and for a period of 8 weeks. The result shows that the HSTS is positively affective in reducing student anxiety. It is clearly that HSTS facility is having a high preference than the normal strategy.

The Effect of Using Task-Based Learning in Teaching English on the Oral Performance of the Secondary School Students

This study aimed at investigating the effect of a taskbased learning program in teaching English ... more This study aimed at investigating the effect of a taskbased learning program in teaching English on the secondary school students' oral English performance. To achieve this objective, a task based program was constructed to teach two units from the second year secondary school textbook. An oral performance test accompanied by an assessment rubric was administered. Two groups of the second year secondary students were selected for experimentation. Twenty three students representing the experimental group studied two units utilizing the task based program while twenty one students representing the control group studied the same units following the Teacher's Guide. Data were analyzed. results revealed that there were statistically significant differences between mean scores of the experimental and the control group subjects in both one way monologue and two way dialogue tests favoring the experimental group. Results also showed statistically significant differences between mean scores of the experimental group subjects in one way monologue and two way dialogue tests favoring the one way monologue test. These results supports the effectiveness of utilizing task based learning in teaching English as a foreign language.

The current research aimed to predict the academic achievement of Superior students in the facult... more The current research aimed to predict the academic achievement of Superior students in the faculty of education through the variables of self-confidence and Imposter Phenomenon. The research sample consisted of 211 male and female students of the faculty of education distributed as follows: A survey sample consisting of 101 male and female students nd 21 male and female students a basic sample, the mean of their ages was 10.45 year and standarad deviation was 1..., The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of males and females of the research sample in favor of females in both selfconfidence and academic achievement and in favor of males in Imposter Phenomenon. The results also showed a negative correlation between the mean scores of the study sample in both dimensions (lack of scientific courage and fear of the future, fear of lack of capacity and knowledge ,doubt about the future success, lack of credibility of success and excellence, measure of imposter phenomenon) and self-confidence and academic achievement of students, at the level of 1.10, The results also showed a positive correlation between the mean scores of the study sample in both dimensions and measure of self-confidence and academic achievement of students at the level of 1.10, while the coefficient of determining the variables between the research variables was 1..51 , that percent for self and imposter phenomenon in academic achievement, and therefore can be used both measures of selfconfidence and imposter phenomenon as predictors of academic achievement of superior university students.
