Today marks one year since first oil aboard the Prosperity FPSO. A year ago today, I was the girl who tested first oil for Guyana’s 3rd FPSO Prosperity. 14/11/2023 Looking back at this picture, I remembered how nervous I was because there were so many eyes around that day. Everyone wanted to see our Crude, everyone wanted to see the testing being done. With all of that and the amazing Prosperity Team that Lead start up, we truly did make history within the SBM fleet as the best Start up, Onspec Crude (First offload) and shortest time for background Flare. I still get goosebumbs thinking about all that has happened in this past year. It has been a whirlwind of growth, challenges, and invaluable lessons. From expanding my technical knowledge to navigating the complexities of the industry, I’ve learned so much. But it’s the people who made this journey truly rewarding. I’m thankful for the mentors who guided me, the colleagues who supported me, and the friends I’ve made along the way. The bonds we’ve built go beyond the work we do – they remind me why I’m passionate about this field.
