Mordechai [Motti] Zalkin
Prof. Mordechai (Motti) Zalkin is a full professor Emeritus of modern Jewish history at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. His special fields of interest are the cultural, social, religious and economic history of the Jews in Lithuania, and the history of Jewish education in Eastern Europe. Among his books are: A New Dawn: The Jewish Enlightenment in the Russian Empire – Social Aspects (2000)
