MsJD.org SUPERWOMAN 2016 Dr ilise L Feitshans is the mom of two outstanding young professionals and the wife of a marvelous French citizen. Ilise has a passion for jurisprudence and justice which brought her first to the United Nations to work and then to her doctorate inthe law of Nanotechnology, the first one in her school. The Dean asked "Ilise nanotechnology is a great topic, but there is no law there how will you write a doctorate about the law?| And ilise replied, don't worry, the rule of law is inevitable as a tool to foster and promote commerce and save human lives so if there is no law I will write it" Subsequently she wrote for the COuncil of Europe and over seventeen articles until her doctoral thesis was awarded the proize for the Best Research in Social Medicine and Prevention at the University of Lausanne. Previously as a lawyer and a Member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United State ilise had served as Acting Director in legislative programs at the Columbia University School of Law and as guest lecturer at Yale University School of Medicine Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Now proudly teaching SaferNano Design adn Law in France!

Nanotechnology has been heralded as a revolution for human understanding of matter and for commer... more Nanotechnology has been heralded as a revolution for human understanding of matter and for commerce, but it can also open new vistas for improving public health, Innovations using nano-enabled applications can transform disability into health with new limbs and organs, telehealth communications, rapid diagnosis for all and autonomous cars for people who are unable to see or hear. The ubiquitous nature of nanotechnology is so many products is exciting but raises important questions for public health about exposure, assessment, risk management, lifecycle analysisi of products, consumer exposure and workplace safety& health. It is no surprise therefore that new laws have blossomed like mushrooms in a swamp and plenty of nanoregulations exists in every nation. This video provides and overview of simple nanoenabled products in daily life and provides an overview of emerging laws and the prospects for cohesive global governance framework for nanoenabled tools for public health.

As a result of the pandemic, an unprecedented percentage of women have lost their jobs or are working from home. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought back a centuries old burden, which adds to the many other burdens women face regularly-the homework burden-, that is engaging in piecework and childcare at the same time. Mapping the laws and the legal determinants of women's health disparities must be undertaken to stem the tide of this new wave of the feminization of poverty.
