Hi @wordna,
Can you clarify where you are seeing this error? Are you seeing this in the WordPress admin area?
Some other information that is often helpful to include:
– WordPress version
– Plugin version
– GravityForms versionLastly, does the error persist when you enable/disable the Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation plugin?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation] Problem with SyntaxHi @gingerstu,
Hmm. You might not be doing anything wrong. It seem that the validation function might be failing correctly… I have a few followups;
– What version of Gravity Forms and what version of GF MIN/MAX?
– Does the formula function correctly on the site and/or in the form preview?
– Have you tried removing the question mark from field #2 (“What School Year are…”)? I don’t think that’s the issue, but it’s the one thing that jumped out at me that might be making the parser choke. Alternately, can you multiply it by a different field that does not have a question mark in the label? The formula validator was broken and unfixable for a while, and I think the last update I pushed addressed this. I haven’t had many opportunities to test it or hear feedback from people on it though, so it’s possible we found a bug.

In reply to: [Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation] Calculated Product Fields?Oh! I didn’t realize there was a “Calculation” option.
I tested it just now and it looks like MIN/MAX also works with the Product field when set to Calculation type. That’s good to know!

In reply to: [Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation] Calculated Product Fields?Hi @wordna,
This plugin only add the MIN/MAX functions to Number fields. Checking the “Enable Calculation” checkbox is a requirement and I’m pretty sure you can only do that with Number fields.
If there is another plugin out there was always for enabling calculations on any of the pricing fields then I think this plugin should work. I’m not sure such a plugin exists however.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation] Max – Min or ABSHi @tzvimoshe,
The Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation plugin only adds the MIN and MAX functions to Gravity Form’s calculations feature. For the the ABS() function you might need to look for a different plugin, I’m afraid.
I’m not sure, but the Gravity View “Math” extension might help?
https://gravityview.co/extensions/math/
For the time being I don’t have any plans to add additional functions to the plugin.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
GeorgeHi @taco100,
Did you ever figure out the solution to this problem? Did it go away?
I’m cleaning out older topics and marking them as resolved, but wanted to make sure this item actually did get resolved 🙂
Thank,

In reply to: [Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation] Min Max RangeI’m going to mark this as ‘resolved’ for now, only because it’s not a feature I’m planning on working in anytime soon. The workaround I outlined should work, though it might not be tenable depending on how complex your form is.
I’ve changed the tag on this to “feature request” though if & when I look to improve and roll new features into this plugin.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation] Min Max RangeHi @bhogan1234,
No, but you might be able to use conditional logic under the “Advanced” tab to change other aspects of your form based on whether the value of your min/max calculated field is between 200 and 500? I understand that could be a pain depending on how your form is structured, but it’s the easiest solution I can think of based on how this plugin is made.
It’s not a feature I anticipate building into GF MIN/MAX, but if there’s enough demand I might reconsider!
Thanks for stepping in and helping out @quasibrodo!
I think the field validation is a little smarter than the “actual” validation and parsing that happens behind the scenes. It can handle an extra parenthesis, but my code chokes on it.
I’ll make a note and try to see if I can fix the issue, but can’t promise a real quick turnaround.
Hi @salzano,
I found the code above introduced other problems.
Can you show me what your formula looks like?
Hmm. If you’re able to look at the error logs on your server I bet we could track it down, assuming this plugin is the issue, which it sounds like it very well could be.
Let me know if you find more!
Hi @taco100,
It seems unlikely to me, but I can’t say for sure. Does the error happen all of the time? Just on pages with forms? Does it happen when you disable this plugin?
Is it possible for you to show me the website? Also, do you know which version of PHP you are running? It sounds like it could be a fatal PHP error, though it’s still hard for me to know if this plugin is the cause or not. The plugin requires PHP 5.3.0 or higher, so that’s worth checking.

In reply to: [Gravity Forms MIN/MAX Calculation] Can’t get calculation to workOh, I forgot—the functions are case sensitive. They should be MIN and MAX.
The closest thing to documentation is here, but I realize now that’s not explicitly stated:
https://snaptortoise.com/wordpress/plugins/gravity-forms-minmax/
Does that solve your problem? If you change “min” and “max” to “MIN” and “MAX” respectively?
