In reply to: [Add to Calendar Button] List of calendars is occludedI added a CSS class to the Cover block, and added ‘overflow:visible;’ to that class in the Customizer. That, indeed, fixed it.
But I’m not sure whether that would be a problem for a WordPress block editor Cover block to work correctly. In this case, it doesn’t seem to be a problem, but there may be other scenarios where it might be. I’m not privy to their design constraints.
So, I’ll await your ‘brute-force’ solution. (I’m curious to know what that technique might be). This website is only a testing/staging website, so it’s not critical for that.

In reply to: [Add to Calendar Button] List of calendars is occludedBy the way, I appreciate your efforts!

In reply to: [Add to Calendar Button] List of calendars is occludedUnfortunately, it doesn’t seem to help. The page https://experiments.souheganvalleychorus.org/out-next-concert/ is running on a site that has Version 1.3.4 of your plugin installed.
The drop-down list is still occluded.

In reply to: [Add to Calendar Button] Plugin not displaying all the calendarsOK. Thanks for the fast response.
I must complement you on a very useful plugin!
Thank you for your very useful response.
I had omitted mention of the fact that I was trying to use the Fonts Awesome technique of using an <i> element with a class, like this:
<i class="fa-solid fa-calendar-days"></i>
That had worked on the other, staging website, but somehow only partially worked on my live website.
I have since used your CSS technique to add the icons to my buttons, and things seem to work now.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Some things are simpler than you think, if you know where to look!

In reply to: [OceanWP] How to control pagination in a category pageShahin —
Thank you for your response.
I have modified the description in the category page so that I can add HTML to it. That was a relatively simple function that I added using the Snippets plug-in.
I hope there is something similar I can use to modify the posts-per-page in the category page? Thank you for offering to supply the necessary information.
In case you lost my response…

Hi @bryanhiggs
Can you disable all your experiments, please?
except for the Flex Box experiment (If you have it on your site)
https://elementor.com/help/elementor-experiments
If it solves the issue, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.I had no idea what Elementor Experiments might be, so I very much doubt that I’m using them. Consciously, at least.
Please make sure that all of your Plug-ins and Theme are updated.
Sometimes it isn’t obvious that there is a plugin update available. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure. All my plugins are up to date.
Please also regenerate the CSS via Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS on your WordPress Dashboard,
I did that.
then make sure that you are clear:
your WordPress cache (your WordPress plugin if you have one), your server cache (if
you have one. In this case, you can contact your hosting provider).I am no using a cache plugin. Since the problem is only present using some browsers, and not others, my suspicion is that it is not a caching problem.
Please deactivate all your plugins besides Elementor and see if it helps. If it solves the issue, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) and see if it makes any difference.
I said in my original report that I cannot do this. The site is live.
I also said that I had the impression that this was a known problem, based on other reports I have seen. Did anyone look into that?
Thanks
I would have done, except it wasn’t clear to me that any responses following ‘Resolved’ would have been read in the existing topic.

In reply to: [Nutmeg] Sidebar width increasedWell, the sidebar looked wider than half the content area on both Google Chrome and Firefox. But it looked fine on Safari (which I hardly ever use).
At your suggestion, I cleared the cache in both Firefox and Chrome, and that fixed the problem. I have no idea why, but at least it seems to have solved it for the moment.
Can you explain why this might have fixed it?
Thank you for your swift response!
Never mind. I figured it out. I was using the plugin “WPCode – Insert Headers, Footers, and Code Snippets”, which was inserting that title and text. I turned off that ‘snippet’, and all is well again.
Sorry to bother you!
It gets weirder…
I go into your Customizer, and choose another page (Home). When I view that page from the Pages section of the Dashboard, it shows a title of Home, and no intervening text. But when I then do ‘View Page’, I get:
Welcome to Bryan’s Foodie Website!
Here, you will find a number of recipes that I’ve collected over time. Some I’ve tried, some not. Those recipes I’ve tried and liked are flagged as “Bryan’s Favorites”.
Browse away! Using the above navigation menu, you can find recipes by Cuisine, Course, or Style. Or use the search box to search for something more specific.
followed by the introduction block.
That title and intervening text seems to stick to more than one page.

In reply to: [Nutmeg] Trying to add text to the top of my home pageThank you for your prompt and very helpful response.
I actually had viewed the video tutorial for the theme, but missed the section about setting up the home page with the template “Homepage + Posts”. It was quick!
Clearly, I need to explore Nutmeg’s capabilities more, but incrementally.
I now have my homepage looking the way I wanted. I even used a couple of your suggested block patterns from the Nutmeg theme.
Thank you a quick response, and taking the trouble to investigate. Appreciated!
I guess I’ll have to figure out a different way to do it…
